USMNT keeper Brad Guzan to join Atlanta United in summer

Middlesbrough goalkeeper Brad Guzan has agreed a deal to join Atlanta United in the summer

Guzan, who was linked to the club in a report by ESPN's Taylor Twellman last month, will sign a multi-year deal with the MLS expansion team and return to the league where he began his career.

Middlesbrough says American goalkeeper Brad Guzan will leave after this season and has agreed to sign with Major League Soccer's new Atlanta team. Atlanta United who only founded two years ago recruited the 32-year-old as their number one draft pick.

Now fighting for playing time at Boro with the likes of Spanish veteran Victor Valdes, Guzan is in his first-and as it turns out only-season with the Premier League side.

"Brad is a proven Premier League and global goalkeeper and we're delighted that he's joining our club", Atlanta United president Darren Eales said in a statement released by the club.

Apple sues Qualcomm for roughly $1 billion over royalties
According to the suit, Qualcomm even told Apple that Apple had forfeited nearly $1 billion in rebates by working with regulators. Qualcomm supplies the LTE modems used in Apple's line of iPhones, and up until 2016, the company was Apple's sole supplier.

Atlanta now have two goalkeepers on the roster in Alexander Tambakis and Alec Kann. Atlanta United will acquire him with the top spot in the Allocation Order.

Guzan will return to MLS with the expansion club nine years after leaving Chivas USA to join Aston Villa, where he spent eight seasons.

Guzan began his career with MLS side Chivas and has 53 caps for the USA national team following his debut in 2006.
