Karren Brady makes West Ham fans promise after Payet saga

Dimitri Payet: West Ham agree fee to sell France international to Marseille

Although the West Ham manager initially insisted that Payet would not be sold, after two weeks of extensive talks it now seems that the Hammers have finally agreed to sell the 29-year-old.

"We have said we don't want to sell our best players but Dimitri Payet does not want to play for us".

Payet's wife and family have already moved back to France, says the Daily Telegraph.

Slaven Bilic revealed earlier in the month that Payet was refusing to play for West Ham in order to push through a move back to his home country.

When asked by Sportsmail whether he feels the need to explain his recent conduct, Payet said: 'I was not feeling good in the club anymore.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports News has reported that West Ham demanded that Payet return the £500,000 he earned in wages during January.

Emboldened by Trump, Israel Rapidly Expands Illegal Settlements
Netanyahu said over the weekend that he hopes to eventually extend Israeli sovereignty over all settlements. Netanyahu also said he supports an "Israeli sovereignty over Ma'aleh Adumim", a major West Bank settlement.

"Marseille also released a statement after the deal was sealed and it read: "After a one year and a half exile in England, Dimitri Payet has returned to Marseille to the great enjoyment of all the OM fans".

It is understood the France global will take a £25,000 wage cut from his £125,000-a-week salary following the switch.

Payet, 29, has scored eight goals in 32 games for France, featuring in the Euro 2016 final which they lost to Portugal. I don't need to justify my behaviour at all.

He's not going to get the benefit of the doubt from West Ham fans, but should he recapture his form from previous year, no one in Marseille is going to care how he acted on his way out of London.

"I lived an exceptional year at West Ham". It so happened that in my life I missed the Ligue 1 and France.

Still, because of the money he was getting from West Ham and the fact that it was hard to find an elite team that had a starting spot available for him, it appeared that he'd remain a Hammer and everything would be good.
