Madonna adopts two more Malawian girls

Madonna has visited Malawi many times in the past

Mlenga Mvula, a spokesman for Malawi's judiciary said in a statement: "Today the High Court made a ruling that she should go ahead and adopt the two children".

A court official in Lilongwe told AFP that the singer adopted two four-year-old twin girls from the country on Tuesday. She adds: "I am deeply grateful to all those in Malawi who helped make this possible". She claimed she was in the country to check on charity projects under her Raising Malawi foundation, including a brand new pediatric surgery center.

The 58-year-old now has six children: Lourdes, Rocco, Mercy, David, Esther and Stella.

"Lola spends time with twins, Stella and Esther at Home of Hope Orphanage".

Say what you will about Madonna she does seem to have her heart in the right place when it comes to children.

She said: "Madonna exuded happiness".

Madonna welcomed two more children to her family this week by adopting twin girls from Malawi.

Madonna's latest adoption request points to her deep connection with Malawi, where she is now running various charity programs, including Raising Malawi, a non-profit organization focusing on building schools for poor children.

Madonna drove away from the court with her new daughters, the magazine reports, and the children's father and uncle also witnessed the adoption.

The ruling means that Madonna can now bring the girls from the African country back to her home in the USA while the adoption process is finalised over the next year.

This isn't the first time Madonna has adopted children. "They know Madonna very well in terms of the high-profile work she has done for the community".

Now she has even more reasons to be thankful.
