Three people, including two police officers, were shot Monday in Whittier, according to multiple news reports.

They "think they're there to help, next thing they know they have this guy shooting at them", Lt. John Corina said. Police later found out that the vehicle the man was driving had been reported stolen.

A shooting broke out, leaving the two officers and gunman injured.
