Vikings eye Murray to replace Peterson in backfield

Minnesota now turns to Latavius Murray, a player five years younger than Peterson but has similar attributes.

The Eagles, rumored to be interested in Murray earlier this offseason, are cash-strapped and most likely to stick with Ryan Mathews or add a back via the National Football League draft.

For many fans, it is hard to remember a time the Vikings didn't have Adrian Peterson at running back.

Now that Minnesota has officially pivoted, Peterson is facing a crossroads here.

Peterson has been an unrestricted free agent since March 9 when Minnesota declined to exercise the 2017 option on his contract. One-dimensional for this day and age, Peterson is coming off a season lost to injury and likely seeking too much money.

Intel to acquire Israeli tech firm Mobileye for $14.7 billion
In its annual report for 2015, Mobileye said its products "were included in serial production vehicle models since 2007". Intel estimates the vehicle systems, data and services market opportunity will reach $70 billion by 2030.

Exactly how Murray will fit into Pat Shurmur's offense with McKinnon remains to be seen, but this was an excellent way for him to start his career with the Vikings. As Taylor drifted off into the background, Peterson emerged and Murray became enamored by the Oklahoma product.

As the Vikings try to catch up in the division, you can bet the Packers also wouldn't mind using Peterson effectively against them.

"I want to go fishing", Cook told the Pioneer Press. "Obviously it being my first time, I didn't really know what to expect but just glad I get the chance to play the game again with a great team with great history here in Minnesota". When AP came onto the scene and Fred retired, he was my reason for keeping #28.

"It's a business and I had to make a decision that was best for me and the place I knew I could have success at and get an opportunity", Murray said. I'm not here to be No. 28; there's no one like him.
