A New Episode of Rick and Morty Is Streaming Right Now, For Real

Tonight was supposed to be the fourth episode of the final season of Samurai Jack on Adult Swim.

One of the surprise treats that slipped out online on April Fools Day was a new episode of Adult Swim's animated series Rick and Morty. Numerous show's fans were convinced it was a prank. "SEASON 3 Opening Scene".

Not moments later, the new episode premiered on the Adult Swim channel along with a marathon of old episodes. After no new episodes since October 2015, they live-streamed the very first episode of the new season, "The Rickshank Rickdemption", on a loop until midnight EST on the Adult Swim website.

Could Rick Still Be in Prison?

This theory comes from the fact that some fans think that the ending of the season premiere doesn't have any character development for Rick and basically undoes everything that happened by the end of the second season. The sauce was part of a promotion in the late "90s for Disney's Mulan".

No announcement, no promos, not even a listing on your TV guides (so if you have it set to record only new episodes automatically, you missed out). He also asked people to stop berating the both of them - along with their team of writers and animators - as that wasn't going to make the season available any sooner.
