Your Amazon Fire TV is about to get way better

Alexa And Siri Are In A Fight To Become Your Hotel Concierge

The Amazon Fire TV Stick simply plugs into the HDMI port in the back of a compatible TV. And if you have an Amazon Echo, be sure you turn on "Flash Briefings" from ABC7. It will roll out to customers over the coming weeks.

Now, imagine sharing your name with two of the world's most popular voice-activated Assistants, Amazon's Alexa and Apple's Siri.

While the All-New Fire TV Stick is mostly similar to the original, there are a few new features, such as a quad-core processor and faster WiFi.

It also comes with an overhauled user interface, created to make finding movies and TV shows easier.

Amazon announced its latest Fire TV Stick with Alexa support in February. The online retailer is offering it for £39.99.

It is up to 30 per cent faster than previous versions, Amazon claims.

Stone-pelters fighting for nation, says Farooq
Abdullah has also said that if India and Pakistan can not resolve their issues, then the United States should come forward and facilitate the resolution between the two countries as a third party.

The Fire TV can be used to search for movies and TV shows, launch apps and control media playback.

TV viewers will be able to speak to Alexa through a microphone built into the device's remote control.

You don't need to buy the new Fire TV Stick in order to access Alexa, though.

The stick - which has become the best-selling streaming device in the United Kingdom - lets viewers access catch-up services from broadcasters as well as online streaming sites such as Netflix.

"This is a big day for Fire TV customers", said Jorrit Van der Meulen, Vice President, Amazon Devices International.

However, by a weird coincidence, Amazon also started mailing out its new Fire TV Stick today (pre-orders began last month), and is also issuing an upgrade for existing Fire TV Sticks and the larger Fire TV and Fire TV 4K boxes (although you will need a new, £20 remote with a mic for it to work).
