Kushner failed to mention meetings with Russians in FBI disclosure form

Inside the White House, paranoia and unrest among top staff

Numerous reports in recent days have described clashes between the populist wing of the White House - embodied by Bannon - and more moderate staff members including Kushner and chief economic advisor Gary Cohn.

Bannon, Trump's chief strategist, and Kushner, Trump's adviser and son-in-law, met at the urging of Reince Priebus, the White House chief of staff, who asked them to set aside their disagreements and focus on pursuing the president's agenda, a senior administration official said on the condition of anonymity.

Over at Axios, they're reporting that both Priebus and Bannon could be on the chopping block, including a list of possible candidates who could replace Reince. Bannon reportedly had a tantrum, threatening to quit the administration altogether, but was talked down by billionaire Republican mega-donor Rebekah Mercer.

Bloomberg first reported the news, which was part of a larger NSC shake-up revealed in a White House regulatory filing released Wednesday.

Just as President Trump was convening a consequential summit with China and deliberating on US strikes against Syria, he directly intervened in an escalating feud between two of his closest aides, demanding that they "work this out", several administration sources tell ABC News.

Spokeswoman Lindsay Walters said in a statement Friday (US time) that the narrative of a dysfunctional administration on the verge of a makeover "is a completely false story driven by people who want to distract from the success taking place in this administration".

For one, this wouldn't have happened if Thompson wasn't among the tournament's contenders and, therefore, was on TV. Q. 13 when you were told walking to that tee, how were you able to sum up - whatever it takes to make birdie there.

Bannon was reportedly removed from the National Security Council, with a number of reasons being cited by news outlets as the reason for him being removed.

The former Trump advisers said Kushner, husband of Trump daughter Ivanka Trump, is trying to tug the president into a more mainstream position, while Bannon is trying to keep aflame the nationalist fervor that carried Trump to his unexpected election victory on November 8.

But after his removal from the National Security Council, Bannon said his job was done and offered a different explanation for his role. One is family, the other isn't, and Kushner has nearly certainly invested more of his "brand" in Trump than Bannon has.

At the bottom of the screen, in between two Bannon heads, the words "TOTAL CUCK MOVE" appeared as Colbert smirked and pointed.

Since the line "I don't know what it means to be complicit", Merriam-Webster reports that "complicit" after Trump's interview.
