People are freaking out over Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino

Anyway the drink's only available at United States of America stores from Wednesday, April 19, through Sunday, April 23 so get there before Voldemort or whatever.

Starbucks may have taken inspiration from a similar food fad from a few months ago - unicorn lattes. The blended creme will start purple with swirls of blue, with a taste that is "sweet and fruity" but after a quick stir its colour will change to pink along with a more tart and tangy flavour.

Ending days of social media speculation over whether Starbucks would be offering a "Unicorn Frappuccino", the coffee company on Tuesday confirmed that it would indeed be offering the brightly hued, coffee-free sweet drink. In its press release, Starbucks says the sparkly drink is "made with a sweet dusting of pink powder, blended into a crème Frappuccino with mango syrup and layered with a pleasantly sour blue drizzle".

Here's the thing about Starbucks' latest drink: If you don't like the color or flavor, just give it a stir.

Coffee, it is not - a new pink drink coming soon at Starbucks is causing a buzz online. It will be available from April 19 to April 23 in the United States, Canada and Mexico, with a 12-ounce size containing 280 calories.

But what is this mysterious, color-changing beverage?

Starbucks promises that the drink will have the opposite effect of a Sour Patch Kid.
