Hillary's Presidential Bid Was Doomed From The Beginning

During an interview with CNN correspondent Christiane Amanpour at a Women for Women International luncheon on Tuesday, Clinton said that although she does take personal responsibility for her loss, she went on to identify events that she believes changed the course of the presidential race.

But she pointed a finger at Russian hacking and interference and, most notably, at the Federal Bureau of Investigation director who revealed just before the Nov 8 election he was re-opening a probe into Clinton's use of a personal e-mail server while secretary of state. The event also included many of her former aids and was to benefit female survivors of war around the world.

"If the election had been on October 27, I would be your president", she said. "And the evidence for that intervening event is I think compelling, persuasive, and so we overcame a lot in the campaign".

Clinton also chided Trump for saying he would be "honored" to meet with North Korea's dictator Kim Jong Un.

Clinton was asked if she thought misogyny played a role in her election loss and said she believes it did, especially where Russian President Vladimir Putin is concerned.

Hillary Clinton didn't acknowledge Trump's win and how she "missed the mood of the country", as CNN political analysts highlight. "I was the person who was on the ballot".

US First Lady Melania Trump turns 47
Scott Berg, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Wilson , the best-selling 2013 biography of Woodrow Wilson , tells Vanity Fair . Meanwhile, parents of students at Barron's school in NY are getting upset about the ongoing security issues.

But she's offered similar - if less pointed - comments about those things before.

She said she was "very aware of the challenges, the problems, the shortfalls that we had". So did we make mistakes?

"Negotiations are critical, but they have to be part of a broader strategy, not just thrown up on a tweet some morning that, 'Hey let's get together and you know, see if we can get along and maybe we can come up with some sort of a deal.' That doesn't work", Clinton said. "What a coincidence", Clinton sarcastically said.

She went on to boast how she won almost 3 million more popular votes than Trump, although he won the Electoral College by a 304 to 227 margin and the White House. When it comes to taking the job, Clinton said that "young women nearly always say to me, 'Do you think I can do it?"

I think she's absolutely right about the unprecedented steps that Jim Comey took as FBI Director --completely disregarded Justice Department policy for however many years on how to handle an investigation. "I am now back to being an activist citizen and part of the resistance", she said. "Oh my gosh, yes", she said, before adding, apparently somewhat sarcastically: "You'll read my confession and my request for absolution".

"He should worry less about the election and me winning the popular vote and more about other things", Clinton said.
