'We Finally Agree': Trump Retweets Rosie O'Donnell on Comey Firing

Piece by piece, acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe undermined recent White House explanations about the firing of FBI Director James Comey during testimony before a Senate committee on Thursday.

The full interview, which was scheduled before Trump fired Comey on Tuesday afternoon, will air Thursday night on NBC Nightly News with clips also set to air on Friday's Today. Trump, she said, wants Justice Department officials "to continue with whatever they see appropriate and sees fit, just the same as he's encouraged the House and Senate committees to continue any ongoing investigations". "The FBI has been in turmoil".

"And I've heard that from others", Trump said. He appeared in place of former FBI Director James Comey, who was sacked Tuesday by President Donald Trump.

"We finally agree on something Rosie", he said in response to a December post from O'Donnell when she advocated for putting Comey out of a job. "I have the highest respect for his considerable abilities and integrity, and it has been greatest honor of my professional life to work with him".

He said he had spoken to Trump earlier this week, but not about the Russian Federation probe.

"For many people, including myself, it is hard to avoid the conclusion that the president's decision to remove Director Comey was related to this investigation".

Baier emphasized that questions will linger about how the decision to fire Comey came about, with the administration maintaining it was done after a recommendation from Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

North Korea: US and South Korea tried to assassinate Kim Jong Un
Although a total oil embargo is unlikely, analysts see some kind of curtailment of Chinese exports to North Korea as probable. It said Kim received two payments of $20,000 and a "satellite transmitter-receiver".

Anonymous Comey associates have told USA media outlets that Comey never told Trump he was not being investigated. "And at that time he told me, 'You're not under investigation, ' which I knew anyway". The former FBI director was, of course, tasked with leading the agency's investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian Federation. "He said, 'You are not under investigation'".

"I was going to fire him regardless of recommendations", said the president. Instead, they've ramped up their calls for a special prosecutor to take over the Trump-Russia case - a decision that lies exclusively in the hands of Rosenstein.

Second, Comey would not support Trump's claims that he was wiretapped by Obama.

Such a statement would have refuted a New York Times story from the previous day alleging that campaign advisers "had repeated contacts with Russian intelligence".

Sanders sought to back up Trump's statement that the Federal Bureau of Investigation was in turmoil because of Comey's leadership, saying she'd been contacted by numerous people in the agency who aired complaints about the former director.

While Warner called the meeting a "productive session", he told reporters he still had concerns about Rosenstein in terms of his exact role in Comey's departure.
