What time is it? Who has qualified? Who can England face?

England received a horror draw for the second straight Rugby World Cup when they landed in a "Pool of Death" alongside France and Argentina in Pool C for the 2019 tournament yesterday.

Reigning world champions New Zealand and struggling South Africa will also meet in a repeat of the 2015 semi-finals. Schmidt revealed after the draw that it was "incredibly exciting" to be paired with the hosts of the tournament.

"We want to win the World Cup and to do that we need to be well prepared and there are no better teams that France and Argentina". You've got to beat good teams and we've got two big games against France and Argentina. We will focus on our journey towards the RWC 2019 and make sure we are ready and well prepared. Our detailed planning for the group, and the tournament, starts now.

"We are going to have to be bulletproof at the World Cup".

England have been handed a tough Pool C with France and Argentina, plus Americas 1 (either U.S. or Canada) and Oceania 2 (Fiji, Samoa or Tonga).

No team has ever lost in the pool stage and gone on to win the trophy outright.

Defending champions, New Zealand, are part of Pool B, alongside Italy, the Repechage victor and, most mouth-watering of all, the 1995 champions, South Africa.

Third-ranked Australia landed in Pool D with eighth seeds Wales at Wednesday night's draw in Kyoto, along with Georgia and two yet-to-be-determined qualifiers from Oceania and the Americas 2 division.

"They have some strong forward play and some gas out wide, so between now and 2019 we're going to have to learn a bit about them".

This means that should Ireland top the group, they will likely face either New Zealand or South Africa.

Ireland and Scotland were pooled together at the draw, which took place in the Kyoto State Guest House, Japan.

After crashing out of the 2015 tournament having been handed the toughest possible group assignment, England saw history repeat itself when the draw for Japan 2019 was made.

South Africa have fallen behind their traditional foe, though, with New Zealand winning nine of their last 10 games in all competitions, including a record 57-15 hammering the last time they met in October 2016. Another eight teams from Oceania, Europe, the Americas and Africa will be added after qualifying games.

"We are happy that we will be in a pool that will provide us with some challenges", Hansen said.
