The man was allegedly armed, and had to be subdued by multiple officers.

The 30-year-old suspect's intention was to harm police.

I'm not criticising the FA because they felt they needed to make a decision. "If Yohan is not 100 per cent I won't play him". It was a gut wrencher, that". "I haven't spoken to Roy".

The Sgt. Mercedes Fortune, a spokesperson for the Phoenix police, issued the following statement as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. According to NBC affiliate, KPNX 12 News TV, this weekend, there will be an increased number of both uniformed and plainclothes officers at the event. If you buy a prop weapon, police will require you keep it sealed while you're inside the venue.

Previously, those attending could bring prop weapons into the event so long as they were screened first by police or event security.

Police say they believe the man acted alone and it's an isolated incident. A witness told them Sterling sent them a Facebook message stating he was threatening to shoot officers and was heavily armed. Entry into the Phoenix Convention Center by the general public will also be limited to fewer entrances.

It was also discovered the man had been taking photographs of the Phoenix police and "making menacing social-media posts" according to AZ Central.
