LeBron undaunted by challenge of facing Warriors in Finals

Boston Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas left and Cleveland Cavaliers forward Le Bron James speak after Game 5 of the NBA basketball Eastern Conference finals on Thursday

Cleveland forward LeBron James has moved past Hall of Famer Michael Jordan as the leading scorer in NBA playoff history on his way to helping the Cavaliers ease into a third straight NBA Finals series on Friday.Cleveland came through the East by winning 12 of their 13 games and will look to defend their title against the Warriors, who were a flawless 12-0 as they came through the Western Conference play-offs.

The Warriors are stomach-churning scary. With Durant, they're the first team in National Basketball Association history to enter the Finals 12-0. After all, he has slayed behemoths before.

"It's probably up there", he said. "I mean, it's up there". I think we will use it as fuel, we will use it as motivation, but the idea of playing into it? "And if you add Pop (coach Gregg Popovich) in there, that's five Hall of Famers".

"So, it's going to be very challenging. We match up well with them, and I think they'd say the same about us", Love said after Saturday's practice session, via ESPN.

James also took on a Celtics team loaded with big-name talents. I've played against Ray (Allen), KG (Kevin Garnett), Paul (Pierce), (Rajon) Rondo and Doc (Rivers).

"So, it's going to be very challenging not only on me mentally, but on our ballclub and on our franchise", James said, shifting back to the Warriors.

Cleveland-Golden State 3.0 is the matchup fans worldwide expected and wanted, and James believes they're in for quite a show.

After Golden State failed to repeat as champions following a campaign in which they had a record 73 wins during the 82-game regular season, they acquired Durant, by far the biggest prize of the free agent market. Granted, the two teams making it again were almost solidified once Kevin Durant joined the Warriors.

Comey agrees to testify before Senate Intelligence Committee in open hearing
He repeated that during a brief news conference Thursday but left some room for other members of his administration. The Times reports that White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer did not dispute the version of events.

"You adapt to the culture", he said. "So now, with the way the Finals went down a year ago, if I were in his shoes, I would want the same thing".

"He's one of the most unsafe guys we have in the world already", James said. So, it's the right thing to do. "So it makes it even more risky when you equip that talent, that skill with those guys".

When the ball goes up Thursday in the Bay, James will become the seventh player in National Basketball Association history to play in at least seven straight Finals.

James is averaging 32.5 points in the playoffs and has scored at least 30 points in 11 of Cleveland's 13 games.

But despite Durant joining the Warriors, James isn't willing to concede that Golden State is the greatest team he's faced in his career.

The only time James won a championship while favored was the Heat's 2013 win over the star-studded Spurs.

James isn't anxious about point spreads or any odds.

"Want the Warriors? Like 'Bron said in his postgame presser, they've been right at the top, best team in the league for three years straight now".
