UK: Manchester attack investigation still at 'full tilt'

It's the second search to take place in Moss Side this weekend

Images of the Manchester bomber taken moments before Monday's massacre were released late on Saturday as a wave of arrests fuelled hope that further terror threats had been quelled.

Manchester-born Abedi, a 22-year-old of Libyan origin, killed 22 people on Monday evening when he targeted a pop concert by U.S. teen idol Ariana Grande.

Police are trying to piece together Salman Abedi's movements from 18 May when he returned to the United Kingdom through to Monday night when he launched the deadly attack.

Police say that 1,000 people are working on the investigation, trying to track down Abedi's accomplices and piece together his movements in the days before he detonated a bomb at an Ariana Grande concert.

Armed police on guard prior to the start of the Great CityGames at Deansgate, in Manchester, England, Friday May 26, 2017.

Prime Minister Theresa May said developments in the investigation into the bombing meant that intelligence experts had made a decision to lower the threat level from its highest rating "critical", meaning an attack could be imminent, to "severe".

Shortly after those arrests, armed officers arrived at a terraced house in Boscombe Street, on the Moss Side/Rusholme border, near where Manchester City's old Maine Road ground used to be.

The two men, aged 20 and 22, were detained from an area in Cheetham Hill on suspicion of terrorism offences.

Abedi's younger brother Hashem was allegedly planning another attack, according to authorities.

Comey agrees to testify before Senate Intelligence Committee in open hearing
He repeated that during a brief news conference Thursday but left some room for other members of his administration. The Times reports that White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer did not dispute the version of events.

May led a meeting of the government's emergency committee last Saturday, during which she received an update from the police and security services on the investigation into the suicide bombing at a pop concert last May 22 that killed 22 people.

Greater Manchester Police did not reveal where it was taken or at what stage of the evening. Photos showed an army bomb-disposal unit at the property.

Senior members of the Muslim community in Britain's third largest city say that they have received reports of criminal acts and abusive behavior since the attack. British media reported that her two children were also there and were also hurt.

Before kickoff, Prince William laid a wreath in memory of the victims alongside Manchester mayor Andy Burnham.

He said a group of young Middle Eastern men moved into the address around six months ago.

Britain's health service said Saturday that 63 people wounded in the bombing remain hospitalized, 20 of them in critical condition.

Manchester is slowly returning to normal, though the damaged arena and adjacent Victoria train station remain closed.

She added, however, "The area that I am most concerned about is the internet companies who are continuing to publish the hate publications, the hate material that is contributing to radicalizing people in this country".
