Police release Tiger Woods' DUI arrest video

New photos show flat tires on Tiger Woods' car during DUI arrest

In dash-cam footage released by the Jupiter, Fla., police Wednesday night, Tiger Woods can't follow simple instructions during a dazed and disoriented encounter with police.

The Mercedes, which still had its engine running, brake lights on and right indicator flashing, was said to have sustained "fresh damage".

"Both drivers' side tires were flat along with minor damage to both respective rims", the incident report said.

In the video, Woods tells police he had not been drinking, which was confirmed by a Breathalyzer test. Woods can be seen stumbling and swaying through a sobriety test before being arrested.

Woods, 41, said in a statement on Monday that his DUI arrest was the result of "the unexpected reaction to prescribed medications".

He apologized and said he assumes full responsibility for his actions. Woods issued a statement almost 10 hours after he was released from jail on Monday that alcohol was not involved.

Woods' speech appears slurred and tells police that he has taken prescription drugs.

Statehood wins questioned Puerto Rico referendum
Many supporters of statehood believe the island's territorial status is partly to blame for a decades-long fiscal crisis. Becoming the 51st US state in any case depends on the US Congress, where there is little enthusiasm for the move.

Woods, who has been rehabbing from back surgery, said he didn't realize the mix of medications would affect him so strongly. Woods will be arraigned July 5 in Palm Beach County court on the DUI charge. When asked if he understood the Romberg alphabet test (reciting the alphabet without singing or rhyming), Tiger responded, "Yes, recite entire national anthem backwards".

During his apology, Woods insisted that alcohol was not involved in the incident, citing medications as the culprit.

Police ask Woods, "Do you remember being asleep at the wheel? No". When asked to raise his right hand, he started to raise his left hand when the officer corrected him.

Woods then came into view and underwent a field sobriety test.

In the police report of his arrest, Woods is described by police as "co-operative" but "confused".

Woods was reportedly found by police asleep at the wheel with his vehicle pulled over and his brake lights on.

He was arrested about 3 a.m. and released a few hours later on his own recognizance with no bond, according to records. Woods apologised to his fans and pledged to "do everything in my power to ensure this never happens again".
