Swift returns to Spotify

Taylor swift streaming

Though it was a risk to leave country music officially and move into pop, it paid off in spades for Swift, with 1989 opening with a million sales and rapidly becoming the best-selling album of 2014.

On Friday, the 27-year old announced a volte-face with a statement on her Twitter account, Taylor Nation, that she was to put her entire library, including most recent album 1989, back on Spotify and rival services including Google Play and Amazon Music.

And, you know, Swift is likely set to drop a new album very soon and her master PR machine is simply prepping the world.

Katy Perry said she only started talking about her feud with Taylor Swift last month because she felt "safe".

Three local NHLers made available for expansion draft

Swift's decision means Apple Music loses its exclusive access to her tunes.

Sharing a post on Instagram that celebrated Taylor Swift's album, 1989, selling over 10 million copies, the Blank Space singer apparently wanted to thank her fans by making all her music available to stream.

Perry, of late, hasn't been shy about the strained dynamic between the two pop princesses, going so far as to call out Swift for the feud during an episode of Carpool Karaoke and in subsequent media appearances and interviews. Swift also took Apple to task in mid-2015 over its announcement that it would not pay songwriters, producers or artists during Apple Music's three-month free trial period. She told talk show host Jimmy Fallon the song was "a great anthem for people to use whenever somebody's trying to hold you down or bully you".

Swift was quite vocal about her stance in regards to proper compensation for artists during that time. "Especially when someone tries to assassinate my character with little girls", Perry said.
