Andrea Constand testifies in Bill Cosby trial

Bill Cosby arrives for his sexual assault trial at the Montgomery County Courthouse in Norristown Pa. Monday

Comedian Bill Cosby responded to people outside of court on Tuesday, after the second day of his trial on sexual assault charges, with a "Hey, hey, hey" - the well-known greeting he popularized as '70s animated character Fat Albert.

Cosby, 79, is charged with drugging and violating Constand at his suburban Philadelphia home in 2004.

Tuesday's testimony from Constand was also the first time she had spoken publicly about Cosby, due to the terms of a confidential 2006 settlement preventing her from doing so.

She said Mr Cosby gave her pills he claimed were herbal to help her relieve stress over a possible career change.

Cosby is sitting at the end of counsel table as far away from the witness stand as he can get, with his chair positioned lower than the attorney's chairs at the defense table.

"In my head, I was trying to get my hands to move, my legs to move, but I was frozen", she testified at the entertainer's sexual assault trial.

"I wasn't able to", she said.

Constand's long-awaited showdown with Cosby's lawyers became bogged down in a painstaking examination of her phone records and police statements, and the defense couldn't budge her off her account of molestation and broken trust.

His legal team said he had only offered Ms Constand Quaaludes - a sedative widely used recreationally in the USA in the 1970s - after she complained of having trouble sleeping.

Megyn Kelly's ratings way down after Alex Jones interview
An encore telecast of " American Ninja Warrior " averaged a 0.6/3 in 18-49 and 2.5 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. Jones said at one point that he was playing "devil's advocate" in denying the mass shooting.

After Constand began "seeing double", she realized that her legs were weak, at which point she alleges that Cosby led her to a couch, where she "passed out". Cosby lawyer Angela Agrusa also pressed Constand on why she stayed in contact with Cosby afterward.

"The absence of Camille Cosby is noted, usually a person charged with a crime, their spouse comes to show support for them", said attorney Gloria Allred, who represents 33 Cosby accusers.

About half an hour later, Constand said, she had trouble talking and difficulty moving and was suffering double vision.

"Her father didn't want her to be humiliated and feel shame and embarrassment as he had seen other women go through when they went to the police at that time".

Dozens of women have now come forward claiming the comedian drugged and sexually assaulted them as well.

Cosby had earlier arrived at the courthouse in Norristown, Philadelphia, for the third day of his trial accompanied by actress Sheila Frazier, who starred with him in the 1978 comedy California Suite. "She does not say to me, 'Don't ever do that again.' She doesn't walk out with an attitude of a huff".

But Constand said Wednesday she was merely returning his messages. In a 2005 deposition he admitted to having sex with Constand but claimed it was consensual. Constand told the jury that, after the alleged assault, she had several phone conversations with Cosby and met once in person to find out what pills he gave her.

"I felt that if I had gone to the police, that Mr. Cosby would retaliate and try to hurt me, that he would try to hurt me or my family in some way", she testified. According to Constand, the next time she visited the comedian's home to talk about her future with the women's basketball team, he gave her pills that left her paralyzed as he grabbed her breasts and genitals.
