Andy Murray withdraws from Hurlingham Club exhibition ahead of Wimbledon

Defending champion Andy Murray has pulled out of his final warm-up match before Wimbledon because of a sore hip.

The best-case scenario is that the decision is precautionary, with potential title contender Konta due to play her opening match at Wimbledon on Monday against Hsieh Su-wei.

World number one Andy Murray's troubled preparation for Wimbledon continued as he has been ruled out of an exhibition match due to a hip problem. Unlike before Paris, he is hitting the ball really well.

Asked whether he was anxious about Murray on Thursday, Lendl replied: 'Not at all.

"I don't care how good you are". "I'm very pleased with the two weeks we had", said Lendl, who explained that Murray had practised with Denis Shapovalov and Grigor Dimitrov at the start of the week.

Britain sets out post-Brexit plans for EU citizens
European Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker meanwhile said May's promises were "first step but this step is not sufficient". Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn dismissed May's proposals as "too little, too late".

Murray is facing hard times for the last one year and after an early exit from the French Open, the British player is searching to regain his form.

Granted, Murray only participated in the AEGON Championships past year between the French Open and winning his second Wimbledon title, but he went on to win at the Queen's Club, an omen for what was to come at the All England Club.

However, his coach Lendl insists he is "not at all" anxious about the injury and has been pleased by Murray's preparations for Wimbledon.

"I love playing on grass, it has been my most successful surface in my career and if I could get to three it would be a great achievement".

The world number seven was due to face Karolina Pliskova in the last four but on Friday morning withdrew due to a spine injury.
