Alright, we might’ve been wrong in branding Ultimate Big Brother a total waste of time.
Last night’s opening episode was slightly funny in places, but only time will tell if the whole exercise was a bad idea.
Right now, the tabloids are all excited about a number of aspects of the show…
Three hours later, and Josie Gibson is crowned Queen of BB11 with the runners up being, in order: Dave the dodgy vicar; Mario the mole, JJ the blagger and Andrew the likable geek who slowly began transforming into a media tart before our very eyes.
But before they could enjoy their fifteen seconds of fame, it was all change.
Imagine for the past 11 years, you’ve been in charge of a big annual work fun-day.
The first year you organised it, you were full of amazing and innovative ideas. The whole workforce was captivated by your day and when it was over, all they could talk about was the fun-day until the next fun-day came around.
Just as Channel 4 looks to move on from being host to the reputation-bashing Big Brother, it’s time for another minor scandal!
This time, they’re serving up a new show – Beauty & The Beast – in which they aim to ‘challenge people’s narrow definition of beauty in a frank and engaging format’. That format being two members of the public being confined to a small, highly mirrored space. One who’s considered beautiful, and the other with a disfigurement.

As far as I’m concerned, Big Brother jumped the shark when Ben departed. The undoubted star of this series, the house simply hasn’t been the same since the waspish, weird-haired toff walked into the evicition crowd – not least because it only cemented John James and Josies’ position at the top of the Alpha tree.
If you’re a staunch believer in Christian symbolism, then events last night in the Big Brother house clearly indicate that WE ARE ALL GOING TO DROWN FOR THE SINS OF OUR FATHERS.
That’s right – the Big Brother bungalow flooded in a massive rainstorm. Or it leaked, during a sudden shower. Depends where you read about it, and whether or not that news source trades in rampant hyperbole.
Well, criminy! A lot has been happening down BB11 way.
So indignant monolith Ben left on Friday to immediately charm the very soul from Davina’s black-clad body, and was replaced with perma-grinned beanpole Sam Pepper, the first housemate to be universally referred to by his full name, making him somewhat like a minor hobbit.
It’s certainly a hot potato, this one. On last night’s BB, varnished cadaver Corin was seen tempting swearing halfwit JJ into her bed, before some strange hand-meanderings occurred under the duvet. But viewers seem undecided on exactly what was going on under the covers.
Some say it was clearly an HJ. Others? They say chest-rubbing. Thisisbigbrother.com is alive with the sound of confusion!
It’s officially silly season and there is little or no television news, besides the fact that the painted skeleton gave the dough-faced boxer a melancholy hand-job under the sheets at the end of last night’s Big Brother.
But one vaguely TV related nuggets of news we can give you is THIS: Mischa Barton who used to be in the OC had a slightly angry exchange with Amy Winehouse in Camden Town last night!
It’s unusual that three housemates leave Big Brother by only week seven, but this morning newcomer Laura demanded release after less than 100 hours in the house. After a very awkward moment in which Mario freaked her and Ben out with a 1,000 yard, grinning stare into their faces the night before last, Laura visibly realised exactly what she’d got herself into and asked to leave.
She made it through another day, but this morning decided her time had come.
