The best thing about there only being six girls left (apart from me having to remember all the names) is that we have more time to get into the politics of the Top Model house, whilst seeing more of the contestants doing exactly nothing to smash those dumb model stereotypes.
Tiffany summed this up perfectly, whilst the girls were dissecting Kirsty The Bitch’s leaving letter by saying that they clearly don’t have enough to do, which is making them become picky.
Last night’s episode supposedly detailed the jet-set life of a model. Our seven remaining contestants were told to be ready for anything – any time, any place, anywhere. I’m pretty sure that was once an ad slogan for something, but what it meant here was that we’d have a bit more squeezed into the hour than usual, with the ladies being seated on a plane.
But before we got busy, there was the business of Nicola’s leaving letter to attend to.
Yesterday’s Top Model was a night of drama – both in laid-on challenges and internal strife – beginning with the drama of Amba’s exit.
Apparently she could be heard wailing offstage after the cut.
Poor Amba.
It was a night of firsts in yesterday’s Next Top Model episode. Tiffany gave us the first indication that someone taking part has actually seen the show, the judges laid into the girls properly – finally coming to a unanimous verdict that three girls had crap photos – and, most importantly, a Judge (Charley) used the word ‘fierce’ for the first time.
I’d had that on my bingo card for so long, I was about to give up.
Last night the loyal fourteen year old boys of Great Britain were finally rewarded. It’s taken five episodes, but tonight we were finally granted some proper nudity. Not only were the girls photographed wearing nought but a thong, they were also photographed with their boobs out. And smothered in chocolate.
Purely for the sake of fashion, you understand. Ahem.
Thank goodness for last night’s episode. It’s been a long time coming.
For last night was when the bitching finally started. There was an actual round-table discussion of exactly why someone was a bitch, and exactly what they needed to do to change that. It was a welcome respite in what has currently been the most supportive and friendly cycle of any Top Model franchise. We’ve finally had name-calling, shouting and obligatory eye-rolling. We’re in the series proper now.

This episode is the best episode in any Top Model cycle, no matter what the country, because this episode is the makeover episode. We’re practically guaranteed tears and bitching and some serious Top Model gold.
A recap of last week’s happenings means we see lovely Hannah leave again, because modeling wasn’t for her. Tiffany tells us she’s glad that Hannah went, because now all the girls remaining know exactly what they want. We’re back in business.
Michael Hann is not a happy man. (And that rhymes).
Like a large number of us, he sat through Monday’s episode of Britain’s Next Top Model. He was not amused by what he saw, and his disapproval at the episode – which featured the young model wannabes kissing one another’s faces and in close proximity to men in underpants – spurred him into writing a page-long article about how disgraceful the whole thing is.

Yes – indeed it has – and it’s time for the second episode of the ALL NEW Britain’s Next Top Model. There can only be one (this series), and the fight is on.
It’s apparent from the huskily whispered intro that poor Elle still hasn’t quite got the hang of speaking up.
Those of you living in a house without Living TV, those who never watch it, or the remaining few of you who didn’t read a preview may not know that the latest series of Britain’s Next Top Model started yesterday.
It’s been heavily publicised and advertised, to the point that we were reminded whilst watching it that it was BACK! with various magazine quotes about how awesome it was going to be.
