Last night, the third channel aired the episode of Piers Morgan’s Life Stories that’d been trumpeted, paraded and hyped in the press as the episode where we would see the PM pour his heart out and weep real tears under the oppressive lighting of an ITV sound-stage.
His appearance was treated in many quarters as a bit of a stunt, especially by wallies, and not least by the leader of the opposition.

So it was that yesterday, during Afternoon Live, Kay Burley found herself plucking Peter Andre’s heart-strings regarding the reported honeymoon antics of his ex, Katie Price and her new Celebrity Big Brother beau, Alex ‘The Reidernator’ Rocky Reid.

Everyone’s fourth favourite Katie Price-shagger Alex Reid has bagged his own TV show. Pitch-forking this six-part steamer onto the stinking compost heap of obscure satellite television are Bravo, those bastions of testosterone TV. Alex Reid: The Fight Of His Life will presumably sit somewhere in the schedules between Danny Dyer’s Deadliest Men and Eating Spare Dishwasher Parts With Steve McFadden.
As WWM sinks even deeper into the low brow, we’re asking if the rumours flying around newspapers, Twitter and the blogosphere are true. Little birds are squawking all over the internets that John & Edward Grimes, aka Jedward, aka the best thing to ever have happened to modern pop music, are due to fly to Australia and fill the position recently warmed by another talentless pair of tits!

…was bugger off, apparently! Faced with her seventh trial in a row (and a couple of these have been several mini-trials in succession), Jordan has bowed out: the second camper to leave before eviction voting begins.
Ah, the ladies! Sweet, tender ladies; Sugar and spice and all things nice ladies! After a hard couple of sleepless nights on the jungle floor, poor Camilla broke down in tears. As she was smothered by the other cooing contestants (all but Jimmy, who watched from a distance as part of an apparent suss-it-all-out strategy) the cynic in me wondered whether this might be a ploy to curry audience sympathy early in the game.
Last night the much publicised appearance of Katie Price in the untouched wilderness of the I’m A Sleb studio came as no surprise, even to me. The introduction of this second stunna with a quite different career history was a cert.
This series is continuing to promise no surprises but does that mean no more laughs?
